Two retrogrades sit close to this lunation, and they change the mood from bold launch to careful revision. Mercury is retrograde at 6.87° Scorpio, 10° behind the Sun–Moon meeting point. Venus is retrograde at 23.32° Libra, 23.6° away. In plain terms: the sky is asking you to review before you reveal.

The active contact is a square. Mars at 22.68° Leo sits 5.79° from an exact square to the new moon, and Jupiter at 25.25° Leo is 8.36° off the same square. Mars brings heat and urgency; Jupiter enlarges the response. Together they create the feeling that something must be done now. The chart says the opposite: aim the energy at fixing the plan, not at firing the announcement.

Venus carries the tightest aspect in the whole snapshot. At 23.32° Libra it sextiles Mars at a 0.64° orb — the closest contact here. Its sextile to Jupiter at a 1.93° orb comes second. The Mars–Jupiter conjunction at 2.57° forms the loosest of the three. Read the ranking in order: Venus–Mars 0.64°, Venus–Jupiter 1.93°, Mars–Jupiter 2.57° — a smooth cooperative line between Venus, Mars and Jupiter, with Mars and Jupiter fused into one urgent voice. Conversations, revisions and quiet deal-making carry more traction than grand gestures. Saturn at 8.81° Aries stays retrograde and far from the lunation at a 21.92° trine orb, so it is background pressure, not the headline.

Here is why Sun-sign groupings underclaim this chart. The tight contacts are cross-sign: Mercury retrograde at 6.87° Scorpio, Venus retrograde at 23.32° Libra, Mars at 22.68° Leo and Saturn retrograde at 8.81° Aries each touch a different natal degree in each chart. Where your own planets fall against those four numbers decides whether this new moon feels like a nudge or a shove.

That is the real story: not a zodiac-wide reset, but a personal degree contact. Find the house first. That house names the life area this new moon is rebuilt around.

A house is one of twelve slices of your birth chart, each tied to a life area. Houses come from your birth time and birthplace, so they differ from person to person. The new moon's sign is fixed. Its house is not.

Put 16.89° Scorpio in your 10th house and the reset happens in public: your title, your visibility, the version of you that gets hired. Put it in the 6th and the same degree reorganizes your Tuesday — your workload, your health habits, the tasks you keep absorbing. Put it in the 2nd and the question becomes income and what you actually own.

That is why two Scorpios can read the same new moon and get opposite instructions. One is told to guard a reputation. The other is told to drop a losing task from the schedule. Neither answer is wrong; each is specific to the chart.

Go one step deeper and read the ruler of that house. Scorpio has two: Mars, its traditional ruler, and Pluto, its modern ruler. Take a chart where 16.89° Scorpio falls in the 3rd house — the sector of writing, local dealings and everyday talk. There Mars sits in Leo, hot and proud, and squares the new moon from 5.79° away. That hypothetical describes a message someone wants to send loudly, tangled with the fear of being seen. The house names the life area; the ruler grades the condition. Read both rulers — where Mars and Pluto actually sit in the chart, and what aspects them — before you decide what it means for you.

Your 10th-house ruler works the same way. It tells you whether the career arena is steady, strained or open right now. A well-placed 10th-house ruler supports a visible move. A ruler under hard pressure says the field is contested, so the new moon becomes a tuning pass rather than a debut.

You cannot read either ruler without a reliable birth time. A birth date alone cannot fix the Ascendant, the house cusps or the angles. If the Moon changed signs on your birth day, even the Moon sign stays uncertain until you have a time.

This is the practical payoff of checking the house. It turns a sign-wide mood into one concrete life area, with two rulers to read and one decision to make.

Retrograde Mercury at 6.87° Scorpio and retrograde Venus at 23.32° Libra do not demand silence. They demand revision. A public launch works when your 10th-house ruler is well-placed and the new moon lands in a visible house. Otherwise, treat November 9 as a drafting room: finalize the internal plan, sharpen the wording, and schedule the reveal for after Mercury turns direct on November 13.

The square from Mars at 22.68° Leo, 5.79° off exact, is the pressure to watch. It makes announcing feel urgent. Jupiter at 25.25° Leo, 8.36° off the same square, enlarges the impulse. Urgency is not the same as readiness. That is the answer to the public-move question: a launch is safe only when your chart's own ruler supports it, and the sky's heat alone never grants that permission.

If your 10th-house ruler is under hard pressure from Mars at 22.68° Leo, the square that is 5.79° off exact, or from Saturn at 8.81° Aries, the field is contested, so keep the work internal. Name one document to finish by November 13 — the pitch, the internal plan, the revised contract — and schedule no reveal until that page is done.

One test settles it. Find the tightest contact to your chart. A planet of yours within about 3° of 16.89° Scorpio marks a genuine turning point. A chart with nothing near that degree gets a quieter month: useful for drafting, not for making headlines.

Run four checks in this order. First, find which house holds 16.89° Scorpio in your birth chart. That house names the life area the new moon rebuilds. Second, look at that house ruler's sign, house and condition — Scorpio's rulers are Mars and Pluto, so trace where they sit and what aspects them.

Third, read your 10th-house ruler. It grades whether the career arena is stable or strained right now. Fourth, list any natal planet within about 3° of 16.89° Scorpio, 6.87° Scorpio, 23.32° Libra, 22.68° Leo or 8.81° Aries. A tight contact marks a genuine turning point; a chart with nothing near those degrees gets a quieter month.

The transit chart calculator does this comparison for you. Enter your birth date, exact birth time and birthplace, then select November 9, 2026 as the target date and your location for the event. It shows where the transiting planets land against your natal chart, so you can see the house and the tight aspects side by side rather than estimating from a Sun sign. If you want a full run of the month afterward, the monthly forecast expands that single moment into personal timing across November.

Two inputs decide how precise the reading is. Houses, angles and the Ascendant need a reliable birth time and birthplace — without both, you cannot fix the house or grade its ruler. And if the Moon changed signs on your birth day, your own Moon sign stays uncertain until you have a time.

If you are still assembling the basics, the birth chart calculator builds the wheel the transit check depends on, and the Sun conjunct Moon guide explains what a lunation actually marks before you decide what to announce. For the surrounding dates, the astrology calendar lists the events on either side of November 9.
