This is where the placement stops being a description and becomes a date. Venus turns retrograde on a recurring cycle, and if your natal Venus sits within a few degrees of that station point, the retrograde touches your own chart directly — and the shared-money and attachment questions stop being abstract. Check the astrology calendar for the next Venus retrograde window, and the Venus retrograde in Scorpio explainer for a recent example of how a Scorpio station reopens old conversations.
Open your saved chart and find Venus's exact degree, not just its sign. Then check what else sits in that band: the Moon, the 7th-house cusp, the ruler of your 8th house. Any of them close to the station degree turns a general calendar event into a personal one.
The transit chart calculator does this comparison for you. Enter your birth date, time and place, then select the date you want to examine; the tool places the moving planets against your natal positions and shows you which points in your chart they contact. Run the retrograde window through the transit calculator. Without a recorded birth time, houses and angles stay approximate, so treat those as a sketch rather than a measurement.
Use it for comparison too. The synastry chart calculator overlays two birth charts so you can see whether another person's Venus, Moon or 8th-house ruler contacts yours — real calculated separations, not sign-to-sign guesses. Scorpio and Taurus being "opposite signs" says nothing on its own; an actual Venus-to-Venus contact at a tight orb says a great deal.
Three windows are worth marking. Before the station, name the split, the debt, or the agreement you have been keeping off the record. During the retrograde, revisit rather than initiate — old terms resurface with feeling attached. After Venus turns direct, sign what you have already negotiated.
Save the chart once and the dates keep arriving: transits, retrogrades, and the specific degrees where they meet you. That is the difference between reading about Venus in Scorpio and watching it work on your own chart.
