Each prompt below comes from one contact measured at the moment Venus stops, and each asks you to produce something concrete: a figure, a sentence, a term, a rate.
Prompt 1: the shared-cost figure (Venus conjunct Mercury, 4.82° orb). Mercury sits 4.82° behind retrograde Venus in Scorpio, tight enough that this cycle gets discussed in concrete terms. Scorpio rules shared money — joint accounts, split bills, the subscription nobody cancelled, the loan that stopped being mentioned. Your move: find the actual number, the amount you pay monthly toward something you no longer chose. Name it before the month ends. Most people discover the figure is smaller than the resentment and larger than they assumed.
Prompt 2: the stated want (Venus square Mars, 5.47° orb). Mars at 3.03° Leo squares Venus at a 5.47° orb — friction between desire and disclosure. You know what you want, and you have built a case for not saying it. Leo wants the request made plainly; Scorpio in review wants to keep it private until the answer is guaranteed. Neither works. Your move: write the want in one sentence, without justification attached. If the sentence needs three clauses to survive, it is a negotiation, not a want — and that is worth knowing.
Prompt 3: the non-negotiable limit (Sun opposite Saturn, 1.29° orb). The tightest contact in the whole snapshot is the Sun at 10.10° Libra opposing retrograde Saturn at 11.40° Aries — a 1.29° orb, closer than anything else on October 3. Saturn in Aries states limits as facts; the Libra Sun keeps reopening them for discussion. Together they expose the boundary you have been calling flexible. Your move: pick the one limit you have renegotiated more than twice and write it as a term. "I will not cover this again" is a term. "I'd really prefer it if we could try" is an invitation to renegotiate.
Prompt 4: the price tag on your time (Venus stationed in Scorpio). Venus prices things absolutely: worth, cost, loyalty, access. When it stops at 8.49° Scorpio and turns, the question becomes whether your rate still matches your value — in fees, in favours, in hours given away as goodwill. This is the prompt people skip because it sounds mercenary. It is the same audit as prompts 1 to 3, applied to you rather than to an arrangement.
Notice what is absent. Four prompts, four subjects that can be measured or written: a figure, a sentence, a term, a rate. None of them names another person's feelings, and none promises a reunion. If old contact does resurface during the six weeks, it arrives as material for prompt 1 or 2 — something unfinished about cost or disclosure — not as the point of the cycle.
Run all four now, while Venus still moves forward. The prompts are cheaper to answer on October 2 than on October 20, when the same questions have had weeks to compound.
One note on the later turn: the Venus–Mars square sits at a 5.47° orb at the station, but the same pair tightens to a 0.20° orb by the October 10 Libra new moon. If a prompt feels theoretical on October 3, that lunation is where it stops being theoretical.
