The South Node is a crucial element in astrological analysis, representing one's past experiences, ingrained patterns, and karmic imprints. It symbolizes what an individual brings from previous lifetimes and the lessons they need to integrate and transcend.

In astrology, the South Node is not a physical celestial body but a mathematical point, derived from the Moon's orbit around the Earth. It is always directly opposite the North Node, forming the Nodal Axis, which is considered a spiritual axis of destiny or life path. The South Node, often referred to as the Dragon's Tail, signifies where we have been, what we have brought with us, and what we are comfortable with.

The South Node's influence is often felt subconsciously as it relates to our comfort zones, innate abilities, and patterns that we fall back into, often without realizing. It is our spiritual baggage that we need to unpack and understand to grow and evolve.

For instance, if your South Node is in Leo, you might have a natural flair for creativity and leadership but need to learn to be less self-centered and more cooperative, which is the domain of Aquarius, the sign opposite Leo.
